1993 entwirft Caroline Scheufele, Co-Präsidentin von Chopard, eine sportliche Uhr, die perfekt dem Zeit- geist entspricht. Das Modell aus Edel- stahl und Diamanten, eine bis dahin absolut ungewöhnliche Allianz, erhielt den Namen Happy Sport. Wie die »Happy Diamonds« von Chopard – Di- amanten, die frei beweglich zwischen zwei Saphirgläsern wirbeln – wird die- se neue Uhr schon bald eine Ikone der Genfer Manufaktur. Mit Diamanten, die wie funkelnde Sterne unter dem Saphirglasdeckel über das Zifferblatt tanzen, setzt sie Maßstäbe im Seg- ment der Damenuhren. Heute ist die »Happy Sport« mit Automatik- oder Quarzwerk und in unterschiedlichen Größen und Formen erhältlich, wahl- weise mit Diamant besetzter Lünet- te. Neben diversen Zifferblattfarben kann zwischen Edelstahl, Weißgold, Roségold oder Edelstahl kombiniert mit Roségold gewählt werden. Happy Sport was born. In harmony with the spirit of Chopard’s »Happy Diamonds« that grace its dial, whirling like skaters performing free variations between two sapphire crystals, the Happy Sport soon became a powerful em- blem of the Geneva-based Maison and of feminine watchmaking. Today the »Happy Sport« is available with an automatic or quartz movement and in different sizes and shapes, optionally with a diamond set bezel. The collection offers many colour variations: beside different dials, it comes in stainless steel, white gold, rose gold or stainless steel com- bined with rose gold.
