But away from the green, summer in Kitzbuehel has also become a dream come true with all the opportu- nities this region offers. The Hahnenkamm, the Kitzbuehel Horn, as well as the southern moun- tains all around are a true hikers’dream. Step by step we discover unspoilt nature here revealing all its treasures. Traditions and Customs But it is not only the countryside which shapes Kitzbuehel, it is also the local people and our tra- ditions. We people from Kitzbuehel maintain our customs. The music chapel is the pride of every village, the local costume group continues old songs and dances and customs such as the processions on the High Holy Days, the return of livestock from high alpine summer pastures or the “Weisenblasen” on the Horn, bring people together and strengthen community spirit. And after all,we people of Kitzbuehel are open-minded and hospitable, perhaps because we are so curious about everything we don’t yet know. Out in the world, Kitzbuehel is particularly known for its events like the legendary Hahnenkamm Race, the Golf Festival, the Triathlon or the Bet-at- Home Cup. But we are not only a town of sports.
